Changed Exam Pattern

This time the pattern of examination has been changed for the recruitment of teachers, vice-principals and principals in Kendriya Vidyalayas. Computer based examination will be conducted for the first time for the recruitment, so to ease the way for the candidates, KVS has started the mock test facility.

For TGT and PGT teachers, instead of 150, the question paper will be of 180 marks. For the first time, questions based on leadership will also be asked by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in the teacher recruitment examination. Last time in 2018, 150 questions of one mark each were asked in the TGT exam. There were 10 questions each from General English and General Hindi, 40 from General Knowledge and Current Affairs, 40 from Reasoning Ability, 10 from Computer Literacy and 40 from Pedagogy. Whereas in PGT there were 10 questions each from General English and Hindi, 10 questions from General Knowledge and Current Affairs, 10 from Reasoning Ability, 10 from Computer Literacy, 20 from Pedagogy and 80 subject-based questions. There used to be an interview of 60-60 marks.

This time the same format of both TGT-PGT has been kept. This time there will be 10-10 questions of General English and General Hindi, 10 of General Knowledge and Current Affairs, 05 of Reasoning, 05 of Computer Literacy. This time, while expanding Pedagogy, Perspective on Education and Leadership has also been included and 40 questions based on this will be asked. Apart from this, increasing the importance of the subject, there will be 100 number questions. Out of 60 marks interview there will be 30 marks teaching demonstration and 30 marks interview.

Two papers of 150-150 marks for Principal and Vice Principal

Earlier there was a question paper of 150 marks for the recruitment of Principal and Vice Principal. This time there will be two question papers of 150-150 marks. Earlier there were 10 questions each from General English and General Hindi, 10 from General Knowledge and Current Affairs, 10 from Reasoning, 10 from Computer Literacy, 50 related to education and 50 related to Administration and Finance. This time, in the first paper of 150 marks, there will be 15 questions each from General English and General Hindi, 120 questions based on Perspective on Education and Leadership. Whereas in the second paper there will be a total of 50 questions on General Awareness, Reasoning and Proficiency in Computer while there will be 100 questions related to Administration and Finance.
