ICC postpones all qualifying tournaments

The International Cricket Council has postponed all qualifying tournaments before June 30 due to the Kovid 19 epidemic. More than 22000 people have been killed and more than five lakh people are infected with coronavirus worldwide.

  • ICC tournament chief Chris Tetley said, “Given concerns about travel restrictions around the world and health concerns in the current environment, the ICC has decided to postpone all tournaments by the end of June till the next review. ”
  • The ICC Women’s World Cup qualifier is to be between July 3 and 19 in Sri Lanka. The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Trophy tour will also not be held in April. The situation is being monitored continuously over the men’s T20 World Cup 2021 and World Cup 2023 qualifying tournaments.

  • i) ICC Mains T20 World Cup Qualifier A Asia- Hosts-Kuwait: April 16-21
  • ii) ICC Mains T20 World Cup Sub Regional Qualifications: Africa, Hosts: South Africa, April 27 to May 3
  • iii) ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2- Hosts Namibia: 20-27 April
  • iv) ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier A-Europe-Hosts-Spain: May 16-22
  • v) ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier C- Europe, Hosts- Belgium, June 10-16
  • ICC T20 World Cup Qualifier B-Asia – Host – Malaysia, June 26 – July 2
  • vi) ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier B – Europe-host Finland; 24th – 30th June
