The Delhi government has ordered all the district magistrates to open hunger relief centres to provide food to the needy given the bandh in the country over the Novell Coronavirus.
- The Delhi Disaster Management Authority has issued an order and asked all the district magistrates to open two centres in every corporate ward.
- The district magistrate will appoint a nodal officer for every hunger relief centre where both homeless and deprived people will be given food. The social distance protocols will be strictly adhered to while serving food in these centres.
- Further, the State Government urged the people not to deposit the necessary goods and said that if the price is charged more than them due to 21 days of lockdown, they should inform the officials. The government has issued phone numbers of zonal officers on which people can tell which shopkeeper has taken a higher price.
